I was raised in various parts of South Jersey but call Haddonfield, New Jersey my home. I attended college at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH where I earned my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work/Counseling. Post college, in 2011, I served for a year with City Year Greater Philadelphia, an Americorps program focused on decreasing our nation's drop out rate. During my year with City Year, I worked closely with teachers and students to develop individual learning processes for students struggling to grasp mathematical concepts.
After allowing my newly found passion for mathematics education to solidify, I began my graduate education at The University of Georgia (2014) pursuing my MAT in Secondary Mathematics Education. My goal as an educator is to develop students' problem solving skills through quantitative reasoning and exploratory based inquiry.
